What to expect

First visit

On your initial consult we will discuss with you your current health situation and take a detailed medical history. We will then conduct a thorough clinical examination, where the practitioner will take you through a number of specific tests that will help us determine the cause of your complaint. We will then explain what we have found on the examination and how we think we can help you.

Sometimes we might need to send you for some more tests including x-rays and other scans if this is indicated. Normally we begin care on the first visit unless we feel we need results from further testing. Allow 30-45 mins.

Second visit

On your second visit we will review your examination findings from the first visit and continue with treatment as suggested. You will be provided with a copy of your report of findings and some educational material to take home. Please allow 30 mins.

Regular visits

On each regular visit we will ask you how you are feeling and discuss how you are progressing. We will conduct any relevant tests and then provide treatment as necessary.

Types of Care

Regardless of your health goals, please understand that we are here to serve you. Our job is to offer you the finest Chiropractic care possible, and it’s up to you to decide how much of it you want.

We offer three general types of care:

  1. Relief Care
Sometimes the people that seek care in our office have one goal – relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of care we have several obligations:
  • Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
  • Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible
  • Offer ways clients can participate in their recovery
  • Explain the value of post-symptomatic corrective and maintenance care
  1. Corrective Care
This care is designed to retrain your body into more useful ways of functioning. This type of care continues to clear as many of the accumulated layers as possible to allow your body to continue to strengthen and flourish. This phase is where we also see corrective changes in posture and improved range of motion.
  1. Maintenance Care
Our desire is to see our limits abandon the prevailing “sickness care” model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model. Improved lifestyle habits and improving your body function are encouraged to achieve and maintain long term vitality and well-being.
